Work in progress: I traveled to Las Vegas 5 times in a row to artfully document the epicenter of society's most peculiar cultural phenomenon; a place rich in history, unique culture and sometimes sad juxtapositions. All work was shot on 120 film and will be exhibited in 2017.
To know me is to know that I love Las Vegas. But to me, Sin City is much more than pool parties and casinos. Rather, the pockets of the city that tell the tale of how Vegas once was, plus the spectacular desert enveloping the iconic city is what I find most interesting.
Naturally, I was over the moon when Westjet Magazine asked me to photograph a different side of Las Vegas.

Editorial content campaign for The Concorde Group of restaurants, to promote alternative options for younger, non-traditional Stampede party-goers.
Go West, they said. It all started with a trip to the Badlands. Far past the city limits, over steel bridges and through river valleys you'll come to a roadside attraction where a bygone era of the Alberta cowboy and its world famous hospitality still lives on. This is where we set up camp for the night – amongst antique taxidermy and whiskey bottles that line the saloon walls of a haunted hotel.
Whatever you're seeking, a slice of Alberta living comes alive in Calgary for 10 days every year – the good and the bad in all its honky tonk glory. But beyond the beer tubs and the rodeo clowns, you'll find a curious and captivating culture of wild spirit ideals that challenge the typical perception of stampede culture.

In partnership with the Scotiabank CONTACT Photography Festival and BMW Canada, I was commissioned to create a series of prints for a charity auction. I was given a BMW for a day to create images with -- specifically, to create images using the reflections on the car, or the car reflected in our environment. The prints were auctioned off to benefit the Air Canada Foundation at the Museum of Contemporary Canadian Art in Toronto.
