It was inevitable that I would become a creative professional. As the daughter of a seasoned photojournalist, creative storytelling is in my blood. Born and raised in Ontario, I studied Photography at Sheridan College and Communications Design at Seneca @ York before arriving in Calgary in 2003.
For over 15 years, I’ve been merging my skills as an award-winning Photographer, Art Director and Graphic Designer to create compelling work, rich in both cultural context & character. My work has been featured in Avenue Magazine, The Calgary Herald, Westjet Magazine, Swerve Magazine, Galleries West, The Montreal Gazette, Photolife & more. A few of my commercial clients include BMW, Nike USA, Kraft Canada, m2i Developments, Press + Post and more. Recently, I became a part-time Continuing Education photography instructor at The Alberta College of Art + Design.
In 2014, I took top honours at the Alberta Magazine Publishers Awards, winning a Gold Photography Award for 'Au Vieux Fanal' from the Rooms for Tourists project.
If I could photograph anyone, it would be Kim Gordon, founding member of Sonic Youth. My favourite Pantone colour is Warm Grey 2.
